Revelian is not a recruitment agency – we simply provide systems for our clients to collect applications and conduct assessments.
Because of this, we rarely have further information about any of the positions our clients are advertising or assessing for.
The best way to find out more information about a role is to contact the company advertising the position.
If you want to speak to someone from the recruiting organisation, you can go back to the job advertisement and see if they have provided their contact details, or you can try:
- Replying to any email correspondence you may have received from them
- Searching the whitepages for contact information
- Checking the organisation’s website.
Revelian is not a recruitment agency: employers use the Revelian system to collect applications or assess candidates for positions. If you’re looking for positions, we recommend searching online job boards or contacting employers you’re interested in working for directly.
If you’re interested in working for Revelian, you can view and apply for our current vacancies at app.revelian.com/careers.
To apply for a position with one of our clients, you will need to complete an online application form. If you saw the position online (e.g. on Seek or a company’s job page), click the ‘Apply’ link to complete the application form.
If you saw the position elsewhere, there should be instructions on how to apply, which could include emailing the employer or applying in person.
To check your status, go to app.revelian.com/myprofile and log in using your email address and password (if you can’t remember your password, click the Forgot Your Password? link).
You will also receive an email confirmation once your application has been submitted to the employer. If you can’t see it, check your junk or spam folders.
In app.revelian.com/myprofile:
- If you’ve started an application but haven’t submitted it, your application will have a status of ‘in progress’. If the employer is still accepting applications, you will be able to complete your application and submit it. If applications have closed, you will need to contact the employer and ask for an extension.
- If you have submitted an application and want to update it, you can do so as long as applications are open. If this is the case, an ‘Update application’ link will appear next to the position.
- To withdraw your application, click the name of the position you’d like to withdraw from and check the ‘Withdraw my application for this position’ box. All of your information will be withdrawn from the employer and you won’t be able to apply for the position again.
Please note: you can also delete an application that hasn’t yet been submitted to the recruiter. In this instance, if applications are still open, you can still submit another application for the position.
Some employers (often government and universities) may ask you to address a set of selection criteria when submitting your application.
Generally speaking, selection criteria are statements that outline the skills, experiences, qualifications, abilities, and knowledge required for a particular job. The employer wants you to describe how you meet these requirements and to provide specific examples.
The Australian Public Service Commission recommends using the STAR model when addressing each selection criteria item:
- Situation – describe a situation in which you used the skills or qualities and gained the experience
- Task – explain what your role was
- Actions – what did you do and how did you do it?
- Results – what did you achieve? What was the end result and how does it relate to the job you are applying for?
When you apply for a position with an employer who uses Revelian assessments, you can specify whether you want them to be able to contact you if they have future opportunities that could be suitable for you. If you’ve done this, they may contact you in the future, so it’s a good idea to ensure your details are up to date in your Revelian account. You can update those details here: https://app.revelian.com/jobseeker/default.cfm.
Otherwise, if you’re interested in applying for different roles, you can search the relevant online job boards such as Seek and Indeed, look in LinkedIn and check out the careers pages of companies you’re interested in working for.

If you saw the position in print (e.g. a newspaper or brochure), use the web address provided to apply.
Check that your documents meet these requirements.
File Size: All documents must be less than 2 Mb. How to reduce file size.
Document Type: All documents must be in one of these formats: .doc, .docx, .pdf, jpeg or .jpg.
Status: Your document must be closed when you try to upload it.
Scanned Documents: If you’ve scanned your academic transcript or other document and it’s more than 2 Mb, you can either try scanning it at a lower resolution or typing the information into a word document and including the words ‘Original provided on request’ at the top. If you do the latter, please make sure you include your name and educational institution.
Other Upload Issues: If it looks as if your documents have been uploaded but they actually haven’t, we recommend using a different browser to complete your application, e.g. Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome.
Browser Settings: You must also ensure that pop-up blockers in your web browser and downloadable toolbars such as Yahoo, Google, and MSN have been disabled.
Sometimes it can also help if you use a different browser, for example, if you’re using Internet Explorer, try Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox instead and vice versa.
Document Name/Path: Your document must not have unusual characters in its name or file path. Please re-name your document ensuring there aren’t multiple spaces( ), underscores(__), hyphens (-), commas(,) or dashes(–) in the name. Also, you can try saving it to your C drive or desktop if you’re not sure, and uploading it from there.
If you still can’t upload your documents after trying all of the options above, please contact Revelian and attach your documents to your support request. We will attempt to upload them for you: if we’re successful, we’ll let you know, so you can continue with your application.
Some employers will ask you to upload an application letter (which may also be called a covering letter) as part of your application for a specific position.
In general, an application letter provides a summary of your suitability for a specific job.
An effective application letter will clearly demonstrate why you are qualified for the job you are applying for, and explain your reasons for applying and the relevant skills you can bring to the role.
Generally, application letters will include:
- The reason you are writing – which position you are applying for and where you heard about it
- What particular skills and experience you can bring to the job and why you would be a good ‘fit’ for the job
- A closing paragraph that thanks the employer for considering your application and indicates how you will follow up.
The answer is no – you should always use a computer or laptop to apply for jobs using the Revelian system, and not a smartphone or tablet.
This is because in most cases, you’ll need to upload documents such as a resume and/application letter, so will need to use a computer to do so.
You may also be disadvantaged by the smaller screen size of a tablet or smartphone.
If you don’t have a computer, we recommend using a friend’s computer or going to a library or internet cafe to use a computer there.
If you’ve previously applied for a job with an employer that uses the Revelian system or completed Revelian assessments, you will have set up a Revelian account. If this is the case, check your details and select ‘This is me’.
If you can’t remember your password, click the ‘Forgot Your Password’ link. If you share an email address with someone else and the details displayed don’t match yours, select ‘This is not me’ and enter your own details.
When you sign up for a Revelian account, we check that your email address is valid using an email lookup service. If your address is not recognised by the service, you will receive an ‘invalid email’ message.
After 5 unsuccessful attempts, you will be locked out for security reasons. You can try again in 30 minutes, but please make sure that the email address you are using to register is a valid one.
Occasionally there may be issues – for example, your mail server may be down – and the service is not able to recognise that a legitimate address is valid. If this is the case, you can try signing up with another email address if you have one, or lodge an online enquiry and we’ll be happy to help you.
This will happen when the employer has closed applications for the position.
Please contact the recruiter or employer for the position (you can usually find contact details on their website) to discuss your options. Unfortunately, Revelian is not able to grant extensions on behalf of our clients.
This happens when our system detects that you already have a Revelian account, but the details you entered don’t match what we have on file for you. You could have created an account when you applied for a job or completed assessments for another employer who also uses Revelian.
You will need to enter the same security details as the last time you accessed the Revelian system. After 2 incorrect attempts, you’ll have the option to retrieve your information via email.
